Line Drawing at Gallery 612

Thank you to Linda Martinez and the awesome people at Gallery 612 in Santa Monica for showing Line Drawing #12 for the month of April!

This is a piece that I finished a few years ago, and this was my first time showing it! I’m so happy that it got to be up on display in the front of the gallery. This piece was created towards the beginning of my exploration into surreal figurative expressionism. My line drawings from this time in general really helped me break out of stagnant patterns in my own life and creatively, and really birthed a new era for me in terms of the boundaries I was willing to push and bend internally and externally.

Ultimately this piece was about honesty and action. The beginning of a new era. So it feels poetic and somehow right that this piece is one of my first to be shown in a Los Angeles Gallery.
